Responsibilities: The Principal Project Manager is a Specialist Professional (P4) and is a recognized subject matter expert in job area. Responsibilities typically include:
• Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets.
• Providing organizational and analytical perspectives to the project team.
• Ensuring adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables. Consulting with a range of associates in the organization
The purpose of the Principal Project Manager position is to provide project planning and project management services for all departments within the organization to ensure thorough, comprehensive planning for major credit union initiatives and prompt, efficient completion of projects that often include external vendors. This role requires a significant degree of creativity, analytical interpretation and problem solving. Responsibilities for this role typically include managing large and highly complex projects, coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
The Principal Project Manager is a subject matter expert in a job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. This position reports into the Members 1st Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) and works under limited supervision. The key responsibilities of this role include initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing assigned business and technology projects in accordance with the Members 1st Project Management Process. The Principal Project Manager exercises independent professional judgement in project delivery practices and extends existing processes by creating new tools or ways of working to best facilitate project governance and delivery. The Principal Project Manager applies deep knowledge and broad experience to address highly complex organizational demands. The Principal Project Manager may additionally manage a group of lower-level Project Managers.
This is a hybrid opportunity that will require you to be in office at our headquarters (Enola, PA) 2-3 days per week. The position may require in-person training.

This figure serves as the entry point in our salary range, and there is potential for the actual salary to be higher based on a variety of factors, such as your experience, skills, education, and location.
