Job Description

Choir Accompanist

Key Responsibilities:

Accompany weekly worship services, including hymns, responses, and special music.
Rehearse with and accompany soloists or small ensembles as needed.
Modulate or transpose hymns to fit vocal ranges.
Prepare new or requested music as necessary.
Coordinate closely with the Director of Music for music planning.
Provide music for special services (Christmas, Easter, concerts, and Holy Days as scheduled.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Proficient pianist with strong sight-reading skills.
Ability to transpose and modulate hymns confidently.
Experience in sacred/church music settings
Reliable, communicative, and collaborative
Collaborative versatility and comfort with multiple musical styles and ensembles.
