In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for providing crucial underwriting decisions and analyses related to real property conveyance and title insurance. You'll work closely with our members and examiners, offering expert guidance and ensuring smooth and secure real estate transactions.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing Expert Underwriting Guidance: Advise members and examiners on underwriting requirements for all aspects of real estate transactions and title insurance, applying your keen analytical skills.
Staying Ahead of the Curve: Identify and maintain current legal standards and procedures, aligning them with regulatory requirements to accurately assess the legal impact of transactions.
Managing Risk: Apply your underwriting and risk analysis expertise to manage and mitigate potential risks.
Sharing Your Knowledge: Publish insightful articles on real estate and title insurance legal issues and deliver engaging presentations on relevant legal matters.
Building Relationships: Visit key customers to promote our services and foster strong relationships.
Collaborating and Innovating: Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate important issues, and contribute to the development of accurate underwriting guidelines and educational materials.
Educating and Empowering: Create and deliver compelling legal presentations for members, staff, and the title insurance industry.
Ensuring Compliance: Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding new developments, requirements, and policies.
Approving High-Value Transactions: Provide underwriting approval for large-dollar and high-risk transactions.
What We're Looking For:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
Three years of concentrated Florida real property or title insurance industry experience.
Strong knowledge of real property law and its application to real estate transactions.
Knowledge of the title insurance and information industry.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
The ability to develop and deliver engaging presentations.
Relationship-building skills.
Membership in the Florida Bar.
The ability to commute to the Orlando Florida area for quarterly meetings.
