Sika is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to join its growing team in the Houston area.

The Plant Manager at Sika will play a key role in leading all aspects of manufacturing operations—ensuring safety, quality, and productivity are at the forefront. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing daily plant activities, managing budgets and compliance, and building high-performing teams to support continuous growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, compliance, and production efficiency.
  • Build and support a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability across all levels of the plant.
  • Monitor production output, scrap rates, and quality standards to drive consistent product performance.
  • Develop and track key performance metrics (KPIs) to guide performance improvement and cost control efforts.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Planning to optimize inventory, scheduling, and product flow.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, Fire Marshall) and company policies.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and development of plant personnel to support a skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Manage facility maintenance, capital projects, and budget execution to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemical, electrical or other related degree preferred or 8+ years progressive.
  • experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility with technical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Previous experience / strong understanding of budgeting / expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Outlook / Word /Excel / PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience / best practices implementing and using continuous improvement / lean tools such as: Six Sigma,Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvement.
