Job Description

**Overview** Kimley-Horn's is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-In-Training with 2+ years of experience to join the Phoenix, AZ office's MEP team! **Responsibilities** + Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients. + Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment. + Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards. + Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required. + Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale HVAC design. + Project type will vary but may include Airports, Facilities, Universities, and more. **Qualifications** + 2+ years experience in a similar mechnical engineering role + An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical Engineering + EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain certification + Excellent verbal and written communication + Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients + Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic + Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines + Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment + Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals + Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, and/or SolidWorks **Why Kimley-Horn?** At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
